The law made it mandatory for almost every resident to have Massachusetts Health Insurance coverage along with subsidizing the cost of health care plans for the low-income residents. However, the Division of Insurance monitors all the activities in the state including Massachusetts Health Insurance. Administering the laws of the Commonwealth, the Division of Insurance (DOI) ensures consumer-protection by regulating the business in this state. For obtaining more information about the Division of Insurance, you can log on to www.mass.gov/doi.
